Autumn . . . and Rain

Washington autumns are probably one of the best. I know many of you sigh at the sight or sound of rain, but I look forward to it. The sound just beckons me to a hot cup of tea, or coffee, or . . . even better . . . hot apple cider. It demands that I turn the classical station down or the video off so I can listen to the music that plays just outside my window. It helps to calm my spirit. It puts me in a relaxed state of mind. Slippery leaves, greener lawns, and the smell of a fresh newness puts my mind at ease. Enjoy your wet autumn day!

My sentiments exactly! There is just something to be said about a wet autumn day. fire in the stove, hot cup of tea (how about a pumpkin spice latte? ;) ) and everyone sitting around, reading or just enjoying time to reminisce. I truly love the fall, I love the rain, and I love to spend cozy evenings with my family!

Mmmmmmmmm. I can almost feel how you feel when you're listening to the rain. I agree that it calms the spirit. I love fall but always have a hard time adjusting to the darkness coming so early after the time change.

Hey MO...your not suppose to make me all teary eyed wishing that I was sitting on your couch listening to the rain with you as I drink my fifth hot latte of the day:) I do miss the autumn days of WA state. It has been cooler here. Our grass is almost brown (wish it were turning green like yours) and when it rains here it rains sideways with 25-40 mile hour winds. I guess that is what you get when living near the coast. Oh how I wish I were enjoying the day with you...i am still holding onto our goodbye in WV.
